There is an infinite number of ways you can bind, stitch, fold, twist, or compress fabrics. WALL London has incorporated a few of these techniques this autumn – and we aren’t the only ones joining the Pleat Elite…
Pleats were a recurring theme at Victoria Beckham’s AW14 show, with the designer adding chiffon box pleats on the back of a beautifully-cut winter white coat, her opening look. Pleats also made an appearance in eveningwear in the shape of a floor-length black pleated gown.
There is an apparent versatility to this trend, with Mary Katrantzou sending out silky pleats with chainmail detailing and heavily embellished gowns had an origami touch. The results were exceptionally beautiful.
WALL London's stylish shirt is made with diamond shaped pleating for effortless chic. Semi-sheer so you can dare to bare or slip over a camisole. Long sleeves and versatile collar complete the look.
The gentle Japanese-style pleats on this dress create an amazingly soft architecture around the body - draped from the shoulders for a flattering look. This touch of the orient makes this otherwise simple dress a stand out piece.
And the relaxed silhouette of the dress gives way to a light skirt with pleated overlays. Perfect for travelling (no ironing necessary) or parties alike.
